An emerging healthcare profession that blends modern understanding of the body and mind with the timeless practices of yoga to support healing, resilience, and overall well-being.
Together, we'll explore practical tools that meet you where you are and support where you want to go. Our work may include movement, breathing practices, mindfulness, relaxation, and lifestyle strategies tailored to your unique needs.
Along the way, we'll:
• Start with where you are today.
• Clarify your goals and what well-being looks like for you.
• Create a personalized practice that fits your life.
• Adjust and refine your plan as your needs change.
This is a collaborative process designed to help you feel more connected to yourself, better able to navigate life's challenges, and more at ease in your daily life.
As a Certified Yoga Therapist, I support individuals in navigating life's physical, emotional, and mental challenges through personalized yoga therapy, mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic practices.
Whether you're living with chronic pain, managing a health condition, recovering from stress or trauma, or simply seeking greater balance, our work together is designed to help you build awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection with yourself.
Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, yoga therapy addresses the whole person—supporting the body, calming the nervous system, and cultivating skills that can improve your quality of life.
• Anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD
• Stress management and nervous system regulation
• Chronic pain and chronic health conditions
• Somatic awareness and therapeutic movement
• Mindful recovery and sobriety support
• Mindfulness and meditation practices
• Functional breathing and breath retraining
• Sleep difficulties and insomnia
• ADHD and attention regulation
• Healthy aging and maintaining independence
• Mindful Communication skills and Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
• Polyvagal-informed practices for resilience and self-regulation
Together, we will explore practical tools that help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in your daily life.

I will share with you the tools that have been passed on to me. I will cheer for you and help you bring yourself into balance so that you can live a meaningful life.
With gratitude,
Melanie

A medical emergency can happen on the mat and off the mat. Is your staff trained to know what to do? Yoga injuries are on the rise. Because yoga has become more mainstream you are getting all kinds of bodies in your yoga room. Someone could be walking into your studio with a preexisting condition.
I give training on emergency planning and certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Education about your body is your first defense. I speak on the health-related subject such as these:

Why does your mental health affect your physical health?

Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.

Yoga therapy can promote general emotional balance and assist with mood regulation. Research into effects on specific concerns is promising, and yoga has been used as an adjunctive therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, insomnia, and other conditions.

Yoga therapy can improve physical fitness and increase strength, balance, and flexibility. It can also help with physical health conditions such as pain, blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and arthritis.
